Description

Grieving a pregnancy loss or miscarriage is one of the most difficult experiences a person can go through. You may feel a range of emotions, including sadness, anger, guilt, and depression. It’s important to give yourself time to grieve and to reach out for support from friends and family. You may also want to consider seeking professional help if you find that you’re struggling to cope.

Coping with this loss can be incredibly hard. You may feel like you are going crazy, or that you will never get over the loss. You might feel like you are all alone in your grief. But it is important to remember that you are not alone. Many women and couples go through pregnancy loss. And there is help available.

Our eTherapy Program – Ignite is an online, self-paced therapy program which supports the grieving process. Using evidence-based tools and strategies for grief and loss, this program is developed and delivered by a team of allied health professionals.

In completing this program, you will be able to:

  • Define the grieving process
  • Understand some of the significant challenges in healing
  • Plan for future secondary losses and interactions that could cause pain
  • Identify tools which are able to support your grieving journey
  • Providing structure within which to heal; creating your narrative and rebuilding a sense of self.

But there are healthy and unhealthy ways to cope with your loss. Some unhealthy coping mechanisms include turning to drugs or alcohol to numb your pain, withdrawing from friends and family, or fixating on what could have been.

If you find that you’re struggling to cope with your loss and need more intensive support than what is offered in our eTherapy program, you may need to seek professional help. A therapist can provide you with the support and guidance you need to work through your grief in a healthy way.

This program corresponds with a self-paced workbook.  The workbook contains grief milestones which help you process challenging emotions and honor your connection with your loss.
